  • Tour the interface: sources panel, chat panel, audio overview.
  • Understand how it differs from Gemini chat and Google search.

Upload Documents and Start Querying

  • See what you can upload: PDFs, Google Docs, websites, YouTube, audio.
  • Upload your first source document.
  • Ask NotebookLM questions about your uploaded content.
  • Follow its citations back to the exact source line.
  • Learn the limits: file sizes and number of sources.
Try It
Upload 1–2 documents — a proposal, a spec sheet, meeting notes — and ask it 3 questions about the content.

Build a Research Notebook for a Real Project
Do it with me — step by step
  • Add multiple sources to build a real knowledge base.
  • Combine documents, web pages, and media in one notebook.
  • Summarize, compare, and extract across every source at once.
  • Generate an audio overview (the "podcast") from your documents.
Try It
Add at least 3 more sources, ask for a summary of the key themes across all of them, then generate an audio overview.
